About Our Premium Hemp Flower & Pre-rolls

What makes Akira’s hemp flower unique?

  • Our organically grown, Cannabis Cup award-winning hemp flower is lovingly cultivated on our pristine mountain farm.
  • Our hemp flower is uniquely and sustainably greenhouse grown in rich, living soil under natural sunlight. The absence of toxic pesticides and synthetic pesticides or herbicides allows it to achieve peak potency without external manipulation in a way that is beneficial to the environment.
  • Our hemp flower contains the perfect cocktail of beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. It’s grown under naturally-occurring environmental pressures such as temperature fluctuations and moisture variation, so it has a higher terpene content, which translates into a stronger medicinal effect.
  • We take great care to harvest our flower at its peak ripeness, dry it at the ideal temperature and humidity level, and cure it with a level of precision that creates the smoothest experience for the consumer.
  • As a small farm selling directly to consumers, we are able to cut out the middleman and offer premium quality hemp flower at an affordable price point. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the highest quality hemp flower at an exceptional value.
  • We are plant people at heart. Our family farm in the Appalachian mountains of western North Carolina is home to a diversified selection of medicinal herbs and produce. The integrity of our crops is everything to us.
  • We are transparent about our small batch extraction process. All of our hemp flower goes through a round of independent, third-party testing to verify its cleanliness, purity, and strength.

FAQs About Hemp Flower

Hemp flower is a versatile form of medicine and there are multiple ways to use it from smoking it as a pre-roll or self-roll, using it in a pipe or bubbler, or using it in a vape pen or other vaporizer unit. Some DIY’ers choose to process or cook hemp flower into edibles or other medicinals, from beverages to topical body butters.

Smoking or vaping hemp flower makes it highly bioavailable and absorbable into the bloodstream through the lungs. Its effects vary greatly from person to person but are generally non-intoxicating, gentle, and promoting a sense of tranquility and well-being.

The cannabis sativa plant contains more than 100 different cannabinoids, active ingredients that fill the receptor sites of the human endocannabinoid system. CB1 and CB2 are the two primary endocannabinoid receptors filled by the various cannabinoids. Cannabinoids conduct and influence a huge range of functions within the body’s physiology, from inflammation to musculoskeletal sensation to memory function to hormone regulation.

Hemp flower is primarily an agent of relaxation and calm. It is an effective counter to mild discomfort, sleeplessness, or tension. Those who use hemp flower may find that it promotes an optimized, peaceful, balanced state of mind and helps them adapt to everyday stress. Hemp flower may also support healthy digestive and circulatory systems. Medicinal hemp flower is non-addictive and its use may support the coping and normalizing process for those who are withdrawing from substances such as tobacco or alcohol. In their organic, untouched state, hemp flowers offer a truly full-spectrum experience because nothing is lost or added in the extraction process.

Our hemp flower is high in CBD and other novel cannabinoids, while posting some of the highest terpene percentages of any flower on the market. Terpenes play a vital role in determining the therapeutic effects of the variety and our drying/curing process is designed around preserving these compounds.

Full-spectrum hemp flower is whole, potent, unaltered plant medicine. It references the synergy of hemp’s flavonoids, volatile oils, terpenes, and cannabinoids, which work together to provide its well-known “entourage effect.” Full-spectrum hemp flower may contain no more than 0.3% THC, the mind-altering cannabinoid which produces a ‘high.’

Drug tests do not test for specifically CBD, but in order for a product to be ‘full-spectrum,’ it will contain trace amounts of THC, which can cause someone to fail a drug test. Even if the amount of THC is very small, as in the case of CBD hemp oil (which does not allow for a presence of THC higher than 0.3%), it may be detected by a drug test. Thus, if an individual is required to take a drug test, we recommend avoiding full-spectrum hemp product.
